Angels

A reader pointed out a mistake I’d made in forgetting to consider angels in the message yesterday. I felt rather silly afterward for missing the opportunity. I think I’ll have to do a proper study on that another time.

I am grateful for the angels and how God uses them to protect His little ones. I especially think about my own little ones in that regard. I have said before that it is a miracle that any child makes it to adulthood with all the dangers and accidents they go through.

Angels are mysterious beings. They are not at our beck and call but serve the Lord directly, but I’m grateful that He chooses to send them to surround those who fear Him. They have an important role.

Of course, God’s ways are higher than our ways, and He may choose to allow things in our lives as He did with Job and others, or He may choose to deliver us in a way we might not have chosen. But all things work together for good to those who love the Lord.

Thank you for your feedback.

“I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.

Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.

For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!”
