I sent the children out to milk the goats alone this morning while I was finishing some preparations. I set the timer for half an hour before I went to check on them.
They had six of ten done, which wasn’t too bad. They thought for sure they’d be completely finished before the timer finished, but it was harder than they expected.
Overall, they are doing pretty well with chores. Evening chores have less to do, but somehow take the longest. Apparently, if you stop to ride bike or to play tag, that adds to the length of time.
The children enjoy Sunday chores best because there’s no school and no housework afterward. The break is well appreciated.
