Canceled Flights, New Flights

Well, we are on our way, but not where and when we wished to be. ๐Ÿ™‚

Late last night, we received an email saying our flight was canceled out of Dulles. We were flying under United on a 737-800, I think, which wasn’t the plane grounded by the FAA, but I assume it was because of that grounding that our flight was canceled.

I immediately started on securing a new flight. We did get one that takes us to San Salvador, then Bogotรก, then Lima. But that means that we arrive after our second, separate leg to Cusco was to depart. Unfortunately, we lost that flight, but I was able to get one for tomorrow night.

We will be traveling for about 36 hours by the time we get home if all goes well. We have a five-hour layover in El Salvador, a six-hour layover in Colombia, and an eight-hour layover in Peru. This will be a long trip. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Thanks for praying for us. We appreciate it. So far, the emergency exit door of our plane hasn’t blown off.

Daisy was not nearly as grateful for our friends dropping us off as we were. ๐Ÿคฃ
It was cold and windy. We managed to leave with just seven check-ins this time, so we’re not too loaded down. (Anne is holding Willow who is hiding behind Abbey.)
Daisy can’t escape her straps, even if Mama falls asleep.
Willow thought the flight was too long.
Freedom!
Do you ever stand on your head when you’re stressed? ๐Ÿ˜
