Yo me quedo en casa.
People are terrified.
AKA The Coronavirus
They could fill a book
A late-summer day
Here a little, there a little
Home again, home again, jiggety-jig
Tomorrow will be a long day
Keep on keeping on!
How do we have extra work when we were gone yesterday?
And we are not vaccinated. Sigh....
He's very sick.
...and your kids.
How do you catch a runaway?
...and no little ducks came running back.
And no, 8 - 7 does not equal 4
(and an Easter egg)
We’re over halfway!
Brighten the corner where you are
Lots of homework
And sowing a neighbor's field
And barbecue chicken
A squeaky diversion
Estudiando y Aprendiendo
And great was the fall of him!
I think Aunt Sue would be proud.
Home Ec for me 🙂
...for giving to the Lord.
Old Macdonald hmm hmm hmm...
...and other stuff.
So you can see from their perspective.
Somebody did a golden deed...
All's well that ends well.
Just have patience!
Patience is a bubble bath....
Maybe I should rent an apartment there....
Light at the end of the tunnel
Have you ever seen an angel?
Lots of time to do nothing
Back to square one
If at first you don't succeed, fry, fry a hen!
How many phases will there be?
Back to Curahuasi!
Happy birthday, Seth!
Torontos, Chores, and Cusco
He is here!
It's beginning to look a lot like spring.
Meeting people, building bridges
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
The ditch is in
There's something for all to do.
Another Cuzco trip
Happy September, everyone!
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts...
We have our church... place!
We have enough meetings that you'd think we were Americans.
Some pictures included
...as Juanito would say.
...and missing our friends.
A GoFundMe for a friend
Every good and every perfect gift comes from above
The Lord is our Provider
Just to give you a sense of whether or not we’re staying occupied
"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
Isaiah 43:2-3 NLT
Do you see any drips?
In which I'm learning lessons not at all related to plumbing
How do you stop leaks?!
Things are starting to feel normal-ish
A week later found us spending our first full day (outside of meals) at our own house. That was fun to feel more like a family again instead of a group on a tour of a foreign country. Tomorrow we plan to try having our meals at home now that the kitchen is mostly working. … Continue reading A Week In
In which I got little done, but still ended up exhausted
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
Matthew 7:11 NKJV
“Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.”
1 Peter 2:11-12 NLT
““And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””
Ask and you shall receive...
Thanks for your prayers and encouragement!
I hate the feeling when you have to say goodbye to someone you want to spend every minute with.
Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow brings the end, though somewhere in the middle we became the best of friends.
Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again.
Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.
No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other’s worth.
