"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."

Things are starting to feel normal-ish
A week later found us spending our first full day (outside of meals) at our own house. That was fun to feel more like a family again instead of a group on a tour of a foreign country. Tomorrow we plan to try having our meals at home now that the kitchen is mostly working. … Continue reading A Week In

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
Matthew 7:11 NKJV
“Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.”
1 Peter 2:11-12 NLT
““And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.””

Thanks for your prayers and encouragement!
I hate the feeling when you have to say goodbye to someone you want to spend every minute with.
Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow brings the end, though somewhere in the middle we became the best of friends.
Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again.
Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.
No distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendship of those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other’s worth.
It takes a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye.
Though miles may lie between us, we are never far apart, for friendship doesn’t count by miles, it’s measured by the heart.
You know it’s love when you have been saying goodbye for how many times, but still you’re not ready to leave.
You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing.
Charlotte A. Cavatica
Brethren, pray for us.
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.
So long as the memory of certain beloved friends lives in my heart, I shall say that life is good.
True friends don’t say good-bye, they just take extended leaves of absences from each other.
Farewell has a sweet sound of reluctance. Good-bye is short and final, a word with teeth sharp to bite through the string that ties past to the future.
You get a strange feeling when you're about to leave a place, like you'll not only miss the people you love but you'll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you'll never be this way again.
Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.
Henry David Thoreau
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
People fear leaving their safe harbor of the known and venturing off into the unknown. Human beings crave certainty - even when it limits them.
Robin S. Sharma
You never really leave a place or a person you love: Part of them you take with you, leaving a part of yourself behind.
A farewell is necessary before we can meet again, and meeting again after moments or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends.
This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.
