In May, Anne had her top braces put on. She is missing her upper incisors; they never grew in. There are others in the family on Steph’s side who are missing adult teeth. Seems to be hereditary.
That is to say that her teeth were a bit out of whack. The dentist wants to put everything in its proper place, using Anne’s nose as the center of her teeth. I was quite surprised at how far to the one side they had traveled already.
She has been going in for weekly adjustments because she’s on an accelerated program to finish within a year. At that point, she will need to wear a false partial plate to keep the separation until her face is done growing.
I think it’s pretty uncomfortable to have her teeth under that much pressure and movement continually, but she doesn’t complain much.
