Kenton enjoyed a visit from his brothers, Weston and Roland, and a dear friend, Miguel, from Huaral. I don’t know what all the fellows got into, but I know Kenton was thankful to have a few more hands to help around the farm with cutting mustard and other things. And I enjoyed having more men around to chat with and to help out on Sunday.

We also enjoyed a visit from Duane and Ruth Nisly from Costa Rica. I met Duane at the pastors’ meetings in 2025, and he has kept up with me since. He’s been hugely encouraging to me, so it was a true privilege to spend a few days together.

Our family was privileged to go to Machu Picchu in February. We had been dreaming of it but had given up on the idea because of the cost. However, as a surprise to us, some friends pooled together and supplied us with enough to cover our tickets! It was a beautiful day. The only unpleasant part was that I could not go on the same train as my family due to some technicality with my Peruvian residency. But we thoroughly enjoyed the day together. After hosting how many groups at the farm over the years and arranging for them to go to Machu Picchu, our family finally got the chance. Thanks to all who gave that gift!

Every month, we have a church activity at one of the church families’ houses. In February, we worked at Alicia’s, mucking out pens, cleaning the yard, hauling stones, and repairing the guinea pig barn roof.

Toward the end of February, we were blessed to receive Simon and Christine Slabaugh; Natalia, Diego, and Karina came along with them. They came to be houseparents here while Steph, Abbey, Glenda, and I went to Guatemala for two weeks. The first week would be for the Latin American Pastors Meetings, this year hosted in Guatemala. The second week would be to visit a few churches in Guatemala with the intention of formalizing a decision on where we would move to. I admit I was a little jealous of our children having the privilege of spending time with Simon’s while we had to fly away.
