Goodbye, Kenton! Welcome Back, Tanner! (65 of 100)

I am noticing more and more the changing seasons of life. One thing end; another begins. Life carries on through its varying cycles, all leading to that final season before that great New Beginning.

We traveled to Puno to visit the church there (more on that later). Tanner came the very day we were traveling to Puno: Saturday, June 13. I picked him up at the airport at about 2:00 in the morning; about six hours later, we left for Puno. It took us nine hours to get from Izcuchaca to Puno with Kenton doing all the driving. I’m going to miss his driving!

Tanner was a trooper, but finally crashed Monday afternoon and slept from around 3:00 in the afternoon until the next morning with an interruption from us waking him up as we got ready for bed ourselves.

Kenton, Tanner, and I were able to take the morning on Tuesday to get coffee together and talk one more time together. We then walked around and around near the main plaza, running errands, reserving a combi to take Kenton to the airport, getting haircuts, and more talking.

A fellow named Abel who has been attending at Puno for several months asked if I would have time to sit with him and give him “spiritual orientation.” Tanner joined us, with Kenton leaving just as Abel arrived. Kenton’s plan was to fly from Juliaca to Lima where his brother Brent would pick him up. He planned to spend a few days in Huaral before flying to Guatemala for a youth institute and from there, to Texas to be with his family there.

Kenton says he doesn’t know what the next step is for him. He would be glad for prayer as seeks God’s will for his future. I’m sure wherever he ends up, he’ll be a blessing to those around him and an asset to the Kingdom. Que te vayas con Dios, hermano.
