We have not been seeing much of Rafael and Elizabeth this year. They have become more distant as they have become much more involved in their former Catholic practices. I find this to be quite sad because Rafael said he does not feel any security for his eternal future based on his Catholic religion, but he finds it too costly and difficult to consider changing his lifelong culture.
They have traveled quite often this year for dances for the Virgen. The dances have taken them across the country and even to Bolivia. They hope the dances bring them the blessing of the Virgin, including better health and greater business success. Sadly, the dances are environments that can in no way please God.
We continue to share God’s truth in love with Rafael’s. I still have hope they will one day surrender to the Lord Jesus and the truth they have come to know. Hearing the truth without putting into action is less than useless. Pray for their salvation if the Lord brings them to your memory.
