Kenton’s Last Sunday in Izcuchaca (63 of 100)

It was somewhat sad to share a final Sunday in Izcuchaca with Kenton. He has been a great asset to the church and community and a blessing for me specifically. I will miss all our talks (and discussions). Kenton has challenged me to see things from another perspective. I’ve learned a lot this past year with him.

We enjoyed sharing lunch together as a church. Esmeralda made rocoto relleno (stuffed hot peppers) for the main dish. Unfortunately, she was not able to share the lunch with us because she was held up elsewhere, but it was a special time for the rest of the group.

Percy’s family has been attending faithfully. Kenton and I talked to Percy recently about where he is with his family and what future he wants for them. They remain undecided for the Lord and the church. Percy says he knows that he needs to make a firm decision and be a better leader for his family, but he struggles with going all the way and making a full commitment. I pray that he can be encouraged and drawn further by the brothers coming from Huaral.
